“Crop Assured 365™” is Technology Crop International’s proprietary process of identity preservation.  When you see the Crop Assured 365 seal, you can be assured that the technology crops that went into the product are the highest quality available.  Our exacting process of technology crop stewardship throughout the supply chain ensures against co-mingling through segregation, isolation and containment of genetic material, and is your guarantee of absolute purity from soil to oil.

Identity preservation is only possible when the entire supply chain is carefully managed and monitored, ensuring compliance with systems and protocols designed to protect the purity of the crop and its products. Especially for end-products with classifications such as GM-free, trans fat-free, organic, or produced under good agricultural practice, scrupulous oversight is essential.

Our robust and documented Crop Assured 365™ process assures absolute traceability, segregation, containment and identity preservation through each stage of the supply chain—from soil to oil.

1. Germplasm:  The quality of the finished product derived from a specialty crop is only as good as the quality of the planting seed used.  Technology Crops International works with leading seed companies, agricultural biotech businesses and research centers to identify and procure the best germplasm for each client.


2. Crop evaluation:  Prior to full-scale commercial production, we offer sophisticated crop modeling systems that accurately predict time, cost and steps required to bring a crop to market. These models provide critical information, such as the identification of where economies of scale can be achieved, what future unit production costs are likely and whether the overall headline objectives are feasible or the long term price and availability targets are achievable – before significant resources are invested.


3. Crop production: Our growers are subjected to a formal approval process before we contract with them, and we partner with only the best, most reliable and most cost-effective growers to meet your needs.  We require full record keeping and adherence to our own Crop Assured 365 protocols to produce consistent, safe, traceable crops for processing. We specify haulage and storage conditions to avoid contamination.   Growers are required to meet delivery assignments and have their materials graded and weighed before payment is made to them. Where the crop is entirely new, we educate growers and compile ‘best practice’ guides for field production and crop handling.


4. Processing:  Crops leaving the farm frequently go through a grain store or elevator site for cleaning, drying or grading prior to further processing.  Our Crop Assured 365™ procedures ensure analysis, segregation and record keeping during this critical stage.


5. Extraction/Refining:  We utilize both mechanical and solvent-based extraction technologies as required to ensure the most cost-effective and efficient means to process crops and seeds.  Examples include expeller pressing and food grade hexane or CO². All extraction is carried out under defined IP processes and complies with all regulatory requirements such as GMP. Oil can be refined, bleached, deodorized or winterized as required, to deliver a product that meets demanding specifications for any market.


6. Delivery systems:  We offer packaging options tailored to our clients’ needs, including but not limited to railcars, road trucks, drums, carboys and even capsules.  All containers are capped with nitrogen to reduce the risk of oxidation.
